My first post...

I moved here to Atlanta four months ago and I want to live as simple as possible. You see I am a natural born nomad. I get itchy feet after living somewhere for over a couple of years. I would like to change that but so far even my blood itches when it is time to fly away. I am here in Atlanta. At least for now it is my new home so I am gonna make it home the best way I know how. Walk every inch that is walkable here and discover all the cultural bits and pieces, devour them and then share the recipes with you.

First feat:

Live in Atlanta without a car. Every Atlantan that I talk to believe that this is impossible. Well I will show them! I have a drivers liscense and I know how to drive but I have never had a car. I used to want one really badly but I just couldn't afford it. Perhaps now I could get a car but I just honestly don't want that responsibility, I want to be able to fly away at will and having a car is an anchor, an anchor that I do not want right now. Not to say that this may not change but right now I will live car-free successfully for as long as I can.

Second feat:

Grocery shopping without a car. Conclusion: Doable. You just need the right tools. I went to the Container Store in Buckhead today and bought myself a cute canvas granny cart:

(Angels singing from the heavens)

Mira a los bosillos en ambos lados del carrito y por dentro hay un bolso aislado para guardar comida congelada....Yeah boy side pockets and a insulated bag to store cold food! My granny cart is in the House!

Next Feat:

Packing food while being a gluten-free, dairy-free, and corn-free flight attendant. Mr. Bento here we come along with other improvisations! To be continued...
